Well, today we got a late start because I think the time difference caught up to us. We started around 10:30 a.m. (which is 1:30 a.m. pst) and found a nice breakfast place by the metro stop. Contrary to what we've heard, the local people are very nice here. The tourists are pushy and rude. There are signs at the tourist locations to watch for pick pockets so we just make sure we carry our valuables in our body wallets and jackets or non-valuables in our backpack. All in all we've felt safe.

We bought a City Pass which gets us into the museums and tourist attractions and an On-Off bus pass which takes us around the city. So we got to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Eiffel Tower today. I will post more pictures when the camera battery recharges, but for now you can view our selfies.

In front of the glass pyramid at the Louvre.

Under the glass pyramid at the Louvre.

At the south bell of Notre Dame. We had to climb 367 steps in a spiral staircase to get to this bell. The staircase kept getting more narrow as we climbed but it was worth it.

On the observation deck of Notre Dame where we got to be next to some of the gargoyles.

On the ground under the Eiffel Tower. David and I went to the top but via elevator because I'd already gotten my "steps" in for the day and my knees said "oh hell no!" Zack took the stairs as far as they'd allow. This was very cool.
