Last night we saw a Flamenco (Spanish folk story) and it was a very nice love story. The Palau de la Música Catalana was beautiful - pictures via cell phone because we didn't think we could bring a camera. We weren't allowed to photograph the show.

This the program for the Flamenco.

The stage area from our seats.

The pipe organ zoomed in.

This is what the ceiling looks like.

The architectural detail in this city is unbelievable. Afterward we walked around the city more. The city comes alive around 11:00 p.m. There are a lot of people out and it's well lit.

This fountain  (there are actually two) is in Plaça de Catalunya.

This fountain is at a ronda (roundabout) called Passeig de Gràcia.

This is at around midnight after the street cleaner came through. Everyone puts their garbage out by 9:00 p.m so it can be picked up every night. You're not supposed to let trash sit in your house overnight. I don't really know why but would guess it is to avoid a potential rodent problem. The little blue light you see is the laundromat. We did our laundry today. The washing machines cost 4,50€ but they include the detergent and softener.

These guys were loading up construction debris and barriers after the street cleaners came through. The whole process here seems to be extremely efficient and functional. It is very clean.

Today is labour day holiday in Barcelona so there are a lot of people out and about.
