Well it's our last day in Barcelona, Spain. Or as the locals call it, Barcelona, Catalunya Spain. We covered a lot of the museums, cathedrals, and churches here, but I am sure we missed something! There is a lot of history here and you'd have to spend a lifetime to see and understand it all.
The people seem to be mostly nice and tolerable toward turistas, but I would understand totally if they weren't because there are a lot of them. It gets crazy around the popular attractions.
Today's selfie is from Sagrada FamĂlia. This is a much more modern shrine that, in my opinion, doesn't hold a candle to the Barcelona Cathedral but it is interesting to see.
David and I finally made it to the beaches via the tour bus. Today was another cold day so there weren't any sun bathers. We spent a lot of the day touring around the city site seeing some places we'd already seen. Our feet are sore and we're both tired so we took it easy.
During our time here we've tried to eat at the authentic Catalunyan places and have enjoyed nearly every meal. The portions here are smaller but you typically order several different dishes. They eat a lot of pork and bread. The chicken dishes have been really tasty, their chicken has almost no fat on it and has a great true chicken flavor.
It's 10:00 p.m. and the locals are just getting started. There aren't a lot of them on the street because there is a playoff fĂștbol game but you can here the cheers from the nearby bars and restaurants where they are watching.
David is on the daybed in the living room resting his feet and preparing for a good night's sleep and Zack is charging his phone while putting his adventures on Facebook.
Tomorrow we head back to Paris to wrap up our time in Europe.
